Privacy Policy
We keep it simple: we collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data.
Last updated: 27 May 2026
Overview
This policy explains what information Sudoku Sally (“the app,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sudoku Sally you agree to the practices described here. We've written it in plain language because privacy shouldn't require a lawyer to understand.
Information we collect
- If you sign in with Google: we receive basic profile information (your name and profile photo) and your email address. We use these only to identify your account, sync your progress across devices, and enable ranked challenge play.
- If you play as a Guest: we don't collect personal information. Your game progress, settings and statistics are stored locally on your device and never leave it unless you later choose to sign in.
- Gameplay data: puzzle completion times, win/loss records, streaks, achievements and ELO ranking. When signed in, this is associated with your account so it can sync.
How we use your information
- To save and sync your progress, stats and achievements.
- To match you with opponents and maintain fair ELO rankings in challenge mode.
- To keep the app working reliably and to improve it over time.
What we don't do
- We never sell your data to third parties.
- We don't use your data for advertising profiles.
- We don't collect more than we need to run the game.
Data storage & security
Guest data stays on your device. Account data for signed-in players is stored securely and protected with industry-standard measures. We retain your data only as long as your account is active.
Your choices
- You can play entirely as a Guest and avoid sharing any personal information.
- You can sign out at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us (see below).
Children's privacy
Sudoku Sally is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the basic account data described above. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
